
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Marinduque together with DILG MIMAROPA, DBM MIMAROPA and PIA MIMAROPA successfully spearheaded the Bagong Pilipinas- Dagyaw Provincial Town Hall Meeting held at the Balar Hotel and Spa, Barangay Balaring, Boac, Marinduque on Thursday, October 2.
This yearβs theme, βUsapang Enerhiya: Sama-samang Paglutas sa kakulangan ng Suplay ng Kuryenteβ focused on the importance of collective action to address the challenges in accessing and producing energy, including sustainable practices, renewable resources, and energy security which was hosted by DILG Provincial Office Mr. Ivan M. Garniel and Ms. Karla M. Go
Town Hall Reporter, four (4) panelists and two (2) reactors- Atty. Heiddi Venecia R. Barrozo of ERC, Edwin T. Tatel of NPC, Engr. Gaudencio M. Sol, Jr. of MARELCO, Engr. Dexter L. Fontelar of NEA, Rev. Fr. Arvin Anthony J. Madla of MCEC, Christina Josefina L. Festin-Tan president of PCCI Marinduque Chapter shared their inputs on Status of Energization (Percentage of Barangays Energized), Power and Energy Situation on how people can prevent and prepare for natural disasters like typhoons and their best practices in terms of disaster preparedness. Meanwhile, Junn Quirk I. Espiritu of Marinduque State University moderated and synthesized the Talakayan/Open Forum.
DILG Marinduque Provincial Director Ivan Stephen F. Fadri, CESE, DBM MIMAROPA Regional Director Ricky Sanchez, Marinduque Public Administrator Norberto M. Jinang, and Mark Angelo L. Jinang SB/SP member of Boac were present during the said participatory initiative as well as representatives from civil society organizations, private sectors, national and local government agencies.
