The DILG MIMAROPA successfully spearheaded the Financial Administration and Sustainability Training (FAST) under the Regional Institutional Development Support (RIDS) Program on June 4-6 at Madison 101 Hotel, Quezon City, bringing together over 70 key officials from 13 selected LGUs in the region.

DILG MIMAROPA Regional Director Karl Caesar Rimando, CESO III, opened the training emphasizing that, β€œthe realization of good local governance is now more than just a challenge but a shared commitment of our LGUs, the Department, and government agencies.”

The local planning and development coordinators, budget officers, accountants, treasurers, and local economic development and investment promotions officers/SGLG focal persons underwent purposive coaching sessions on the governance area of financial administration and sustainability with a key focus on transparent and accountable utilization of public funds, to wit:
