𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗚 𝗠𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔 𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗗𝗕𝗠 𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗕𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝟭𝟲𝟭 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝟭𝟲𝟮

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) MIMAROPA, in partnership with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) MIMAROPA, conducted an Orientation on Local Budget Circular (LBC) No. 161 and LBC No. 162 titled “Guidelines on the Release and Utilization of FY 2025 Local Government Support Fund – Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) and Local Government Support Fund – Support to the Barangay Development Program under the General Appropriations Act (GAA), Republic Act No. 12116,” on April 3, 2025, via Zoom.

Regional Director Karl Caesar R. Rimando, CESO III, remarked, “As public servants, it is our responsibility to maximize these resources and uphold transparency and accountability in their implementation.” He encouraged participants to actively engage, ask questions, and share insights to ensure the session would equip them with the knowledge needed to fulfill their duties effectively.

The orientation was attended by Provincial, and Local Engineers, Planning and Development Coordinators, Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs), as well as Unit Chiefs, personnel, and staff from the Project Development and Management Units (PDMUs) across the region.

Supervising Budget and Management Specialist Michael P. Gedaca and the Chief Budget and Management Specialist Christian G. Mendoza from DBM served as the session’s resource persons.

The activity aimed to achieve developmental goals, strengthening coordination between government agencies and LGUs to improve policy implementation, addressing challenges in fund
management, and promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in the execution of local development projects.
