The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) MIMAROPA, through Engr. Farah Kristine Lucas participated in the Project Validation of Damaged Infrastructure Projects in Oriental Mindoro from June 10 to 13, 2025.

The assessment focused on infrastructure affected by Typhoon “Kristine” and other weather events, covering 11 projects across six municipalities, including flood control structures and seawalls in Naujan, Victoria, Pinamalayan, Gloria, Bansud, and Roxas.

The team verified the extent of damage and determine the need for repair, rehabilitation, or reconstruction. The Regional Project Validation and Evaluation Team (RPVET), which includes representatives from DILG, DPWH, OCD, and DENR-MGB MIMAROPA, conducted site inspections and prepared evaluation reports to guide the prioritization of interventions.

Based on the team’s assessment, all 11 infrastructure projects remain operational; however, certain sections have sustained significant damage. These partially impaired components prompted the inclusion of the projects for approval in the budgeting process for repair and reconstruction.
