DILG MIMAROPA Regional Director Karl Caesar Rimando, CESO III served as the Guest of Honor at the 7th Annual Jail Service Recognition Day, Gawad Penolohiya 2024, held at Green Coral, Batangas City, on Wednesday, November 27.

In his message, Director Rimando highlighted the critical role of the BJMP within the broader framework of the DILG.

“BJMP plays in the larger framework of the DILG in sustaining peaceful, safe, progressive, resilient and inclusive communities, which strongly resonates in the BJMP’s mission of providing a safe custody, humane treatment, and developmental opportunities for PDLs,” Director Rimando said.

He further emphasized the importance of collaboration between the DILG and BJMP, underscoring that both are integral parts of a shared mission .

“Let us keep in mind that the DILG and BJMP are not just agencies- we are partners in service. We are partners in the pursuit of justice, in the protection of the rights of every Filipino, and in the mission to build a nation founded on respect, accountability, and opportunity,” he added.

The ceremony recognized the outstanding contributions of BJMP MIMAROPA personnel who have demonstrated exceptional performance in their duties and responsibilities contributing significantly to the advancement of jail services.
